Transforming Customer Care Skills For Local Authority Housing Services : …..”Exemplary….”
“Thank you Training to Achieve, you were exemplary. I first met Alison at a Recruitment Training Course being run by the Local Authority and realised that she had all the skills and knowledge to help us develop and roll out our Customer Care Skills Training. Not always an easy task in local authorities, but Alison has all the experience required to deal with even the most difficult of officers and provide them with the information to help them deliver excellent customer service!
From the start Alison met with us to discuss our needs and ensure the training was tailored to the needs of the Housing Service, using her previous knowledge and experience of working with Redbridge for many years. The course paperwork was of a high standard and completely relevant and we have been able to place key information onto our staff notice boards, as a constant reminder of the most important elements of the training. The course was delivered in an outstandingly professional manner and the style of delivery was very varied, keeping every officer involved. Our staff feedback was the best yet and people continually ask when Alison will be back to deliver further training. I am working on it!”
Jayne Jeffries, Housing Strategy Officer, London Borough of Redbridge – Housing Service
Supporting with undergraduate postgraduate dentists and senior trainers and advisers in the West Midlands Deanery:….”an inspiration…”
“When I first came across Alison during consultancy sessions for the Dental Complaints Service panellists’ training, I was impressed by the wealth of knowledge and experience she had to offer. Not only did the training sessions enable different learning and communication styles to be learnt, but it made me think what she and ‘Training To Achieve’ could offer the Dental profession at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
When asked, she was able to tailor her sessions to my dental peers, and she did so with outstanding results. Alison has successfully delivered topics of a wide range to my Vocational Dental practitioner group. The group reflected on the knowledge, teaching style and delivery. The excellent feedback was a clear reflection of this. The only criticism I received was ‘Why she had not been booked earlier?’ In addition, she has been an inspiration for Trainer practitioners new and existing in Vocational training in our Deanery.
Alison involves her audience and makes the session interactive. As a result, people have learnt more effectively from this style and are able to then implement in practice what they have learnt.
I am very grateful to Alison for her valuable contribution she has made to the Dentistry profession in particular to Vocational Training locally and I look forward to working with her for many years to come.”

In over a dozen training sessions across the UK, with a variety of audience types, Training To Achieve helped us to deliver a consistently high quality product which hit the mark every time.

Tailored training days for Education Staff:…”standard of courses extremely high…courteous, efficient…first class”
“Training To Achieve was excellent. I gave them a rough outline of what I wanted and they came back with a training programme that addressed all of my needs and more.
I have used Training To Achieve on a number of occasions covering a variety of subjects and each time they have impressed me with their knowledge of the subject and quality of course. Nothing seemed too difficult. Prior to setting up training days, I would spend time discussing with them my aims and objectives for the day knowing full well that the presenters would provide exactly what was required.
I have found the standard of courses extremely high, which is one of the reasons why I continually use them. I have found them courteous and efficient and nothing seemed too much of a problem. Their presentational skills were first class”

Thank you once again for your excellent presentation to our Sixth Form students; they all really enjoyed it and found it very beneficial for their future personal development.

I hope that your business continues to thrive and flourish.
Yours sincerely,

HR Partnering – Private Sector:…”dramatically improved both the quality of our recruitment and ongoing retention…”
“I have no hesitation in recommending Training to Achieve as an HR partner of the highest quality. We have been pleased to have a very productive relationship with Training to Achieve for three years. As an SME, it is very difficult to afford high quality dedicated HR professionals, but we recognised the importance of bringing those skills into our business and therefore found the retainer relationship to be an ideal way of achieving this at a realistic cost.”
“Training to Achieve has given us both leadership and assistance in numerous ways, but, most crucially in my opinion, in the areas of recruitment and performance review – mistakes in recruitment and management of staff can be immensely damaging to a small business and the introduction of Training to Achieve’s approach to these areas has dramatically improved both the quality of our recruitment and the ongoing retention of key staff.”
Gary Wiffin, Finance Director, IPRS Group
Training all the Headteachers and staff in Essex Schools:..”recommend highly as a professional trainer and consultant”
“Alison was engaged to construct and deliver a running programme of training for school staff on the topic of managing aggression and violence in the workplace. Alison tailored the courses to suit the needs of school staff and also to complement and enhance the County Council’s in-house code of practice on the subject. Alison was always up to date and informed with regard to the numerous County policies and procedures in place at the time of delivering the courses.
Each course was delivered in a professional, informative and interesting way with the right amount of interaction with the delegates. Alison’s preparation for the courses could not be faulted and there was never any hesitation in making any changes which might be necessary due to policy changes etc.
Her relationship with delegates was positive and friendly whilst remaining professional and she understood clearly the challenges and problems likely to be experienced by teachers and Headteachers. I received very positive feedback from these people regarding the courses delivered by Alison. In addition, I found working with Alison an enjoyable and rewarding experience and would recommend her highly as a professional trainer and consultant.”

Time Management Coaching – Strategic and Mangagement Accounting:…”very practical day to day solutions…Thank you”
“My HR department put me in contact with Alison for some one to one coaching around time management and it’s really worked for me. My employer has embraced a new flexible way of working, which includes being able to work from home, and this change has highlighted my need for a new outlook. I have attended a few courses in the past and appreciate all the good ideas and logic, but have struggled to really apply it to my own situation.
Training to Achieve has helped me to identify my own strengths and weaknesses in this area, question motivational issues and learn to focus more clearly on my objectives. This has been possible through awareness of some different approaches and very practical day to day solutions – which suit me! The result has been a feeling of being more in control, and ultimately more confident. Thank you.”

Advanced Creative Thinking and Mind Mapping – Open course:…”thought provoking and really enjoyed the course…”
“I really enjoyed the course and have kept my juggling balls by my bed in case I get the urge to juggle during the night! I am now adept at two balls but haven’t a clue how to introduce a third!
As far as wording goes; ‘I found the course to be thought provoking as it challenged the usual ways of preparing reports and memorising presentations. The day was filled with the practical application of theory and I have used my newfound skills back at the workplace on a daily basis. Making lists are a thing of the past….”

I worked with Alison on a claims course which was rolled out for about 200 colleagues in Norwich. Leadership Qualifications for County Council:…”extremely detailed knowledge…professionalism…adept…”
“I first met Alison when she delivered a business module as part of the level 6 diploma in ‘Public Service Leadership’.
The first thing that struck me about Alison was her professionalism. It was obvious that a great deal of preparation had gone into delivering the session because it was extremely well structured, there was a very logical progression between points and there was a fine balance between the theory and the practical aspects.
Alison had an extremely detailed understanding of the subject and was able to use a range of tools to communicate the course material. Alison was also very adept at answering any tricky questions we threw her way!
Alison delivered the module to a diverse audience which included people from different local government organisations and people who were in different stages of their career. Needless to say Alison was flexible enough to adapt her communication style to suit a wide variety of audiences.
I would definitely recommend Alison as a proficient course deliverer and look forward to working with her again!” Alistair Dunsdon, Project Manager, Cambridgeshire County Council

“In endorsing Alison I think of 3 P’s. Preparation – in making sure that she is always prepared, with a deep knowledge of the subject. Polish – in the delivery and facilitation of the material. Pride – in ensuring that learning objectives are met and client satisfaction is achieved. She always does what she says she will do, which sounds easy but can be rare.

Empowering a dentist to sort out his people management issues:…”Alison empowers you with the skills to run a business in the 21st Century…”
“I was introduced to Training To Achieve in June 2010. Alison did a half day presentation on how personality conflicts can be avoided in the dental practice. This was part of a foundation trainer induction course. I have participated in a number of sessions with other presenters under a similar banner and was a little unsure of what new spin would be presented. Within a few minutes it was evident that Alison had specifically tailored her presentation for dentists working in a small business setting and this was not going to be another generic presentation with general business ideas which may or may not have relevance to a modern dental practice. In fact she has a specific business to help dentists called Dental People Skills.
The practice need
A month later I identified that I had an administrative problem with my dental practice it was obvious that the working environment was not as it should be but I could not identify the source of the problem.
The solution
I engaged Training To Achieve.” Alison visited the practice on a number of occasions as a trouble shooter, and then to provide training and on going support to a number of the staff. I had direct coaching from Alison on assertive techniques in business and was able to use my new found skills to implement a number of fundamental changes in the staffing infrastructure of my practice.
Alison continues to provide mentoring for myself and the staff and in the future will be returning to the practice to provide further training in managerial matters.
The result
One of the key points that she has helped me realise is that dentistry is in effect two businesses rolled into one. Just as I have developed my dental skills over the years by further training, Alison has furnished me with the interpersonal skills which are necessary for the successful running of a small business.
For anyone who is realising that just because you are a good dentist it does not follow that you are a good businessman working with Alison will empower you with the skills required to run a successful business in the 21st Century.
David Barke, NHS Dentist, No Worries Dentistry

Bite-sized management development sessions for Housing Association:…”such an engaging trainer…”
“West Kent Housing Association was introduced to Alison through the appointment of a new Head of HR and we are delighted to have access to such an engaging trainer. Alison has worked with different teams and groups within the Association to provide a range of bite size training courses for our 2008 ‘Learning at Work Day’. The workshops that Alison delivered included Effective business communications, Interviewee skills, Chairing meeting and Contributing confidently to meetings. From needs analysis to course delivery, Alison’s professionalism, knowledge, experience and flexibility resulted in us receiving excellent feedback from participants, which was extremely positive, with all staff reporting that they gained something practical to take away from the workshops or training sessions that they participated in.
Training To Achieve has also carried out some bespoke work with our second tier operational managers in helping them to focus on how they wanted to move into being more strategic as a group and take on, the day to day operational responsibility for delivery of excellent services to our customers.
I would not hesitate to recommend Alison as a highly professional trainer, who works well with people at all levels of the organisation.”

“Alison has been delivering management development and training programmes for us for four years since 2007. We originally brought her in to design and deliver a high level management programme for us. Her training solution had all the aspects we were looking for, including action learning sets which proved very popular. She has gone on to train our Executive team, as well as run other in-house training programmes for us. Our delegates consistently tell us how fantastic she is and her delivery produces the results and outcomes we are looking for.
